Holy Name High School - A Chesterton Academy, a joyfully Catholic, classical high school, seeks a talented math teacher for the 2024-25 academic year. The position is full-time and would teach 9-12th grade mathematics including Euclidean Geometry, Algebra, Physics and Calculus. The position may teach other classes depending on the applicant's proficiencies.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field. Two to three years of teaching experience in a classical setting is preferred, but a passion for Catholic education is required.
The candidates must be willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium and preference will be given to practicing Catholics. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and possess a track record of contributing to the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise.
In addition to their teaching responsibilities, faculty help lead extra-curricular activities like workshops, sports, clubs, events and our Household system. Faculty members join students for daily Mass and are encouraged to attend spiritual retreats and group devotionals as well.
