Job Title:- Laboratory Assistant
Location:- Johnston, IA 50131
Duration:- 12 months contract
Pay rate:- $22/hr. on W2 without benefits
Responsibilities:
o Support day to day laboratory activities including insect colony maintenance.
o Maintain laboratory supplies and reagents.
o Assist with development of invertebrate laboratory bioassay methodologies.
o Maintain laboratory documentation.
o Assist with laboratory studies to characterize the environmental safety of candidate products
Qualifications:
o Associates or Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, ecology, entomology, microbiology, plant science, or other scientific related field.
o Experience with invertebrate laboratory maintenance or bioassays for terrestrial and aquatic insects preferred
o Excellent detail-oriented organizational skills and record keeping ability
o Excellent oral and written communication skills
o Ability to function successfully both independently and in a high-performing team.
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HPLC, UPLC, Spectrometry, GC
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
