Logisticus Projects Group is Hiring a Safety Coordinator (Camanche, IA) Near Camanche, IA
- Ensure all team members wear proper PPE for the task at hand.
- Lead Safety Training for new (including temporary employees) and current employees. To include programs, policies, processes, and procedure reviews.
- Conduct through LTMS weekly Behavior Based Safety Audits.
- Communicate & Coordinate with Warehouse Manager concerning any Safety or current operational concerns that affect the overall safety of the team.
- Lead weekly Safety meetings with Warehouse team.
- Review the Monthly Safety Message with the entire warehouse Team.
- Attend Bi-Weekly Safety Meetings with LG Safety Manager & Director of Compliance.
- Ensure all employees wear the required PPE for the task being performed.
- Become proficient and initiate Concern Reports.
- Become proficient with 5 Why Analysis and Corrective Action determinations.
- Complete OSHA 30 Construction class
- Complete additional training as assigned.
- Conduct Safety Audits for both the Refurbishment & Kitting Services.
- Maintain clean and safe work area. Ensure good housekeeping practices in all areas of the warehouse.
- Other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager.
- Work with Houston Safety Coordinator to ensure all Operational & Safety Procedures are current and employees have been trained on the most current processes.
- Attention to detail.
- Understand the need for confidentiality when appropriate.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Ability to present & conduct Training in Group settings.
- Ability to take and give directions to Team Members.
- Ability to act as a coach and mentor to other team members regarding training on operational and safety processes, procedures, and programs.
