TJT is seeking an IT Desktop Support Specialist to become an integral part of our information technology team in a full-time capacity. TJT is a North Carolina based public accounting firm with over 250 employees across four office locations. This position is 100% onsite sitting out of TJT’s Raleigh office.

To be successful in this position, you will have 3 years of hands-on desktop support experience and possess an enthusiasm for technological learning. Our environment is technologically diverse – the ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and service oriented.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tier I and tier II hardware and software support in-person and remotely across multiple office locations
• Perform deployments and upgrades of business applications and computer equipment
• Execute Active Directory user administration and support
• Provide administration of Microsoft Windows desktops and servers and Office365/Azure administration
• Deliver audio/video conferencing support as needed
• Implement general IT initiatives set forth by the department

Technical Requirements & Attributes for Success:

• 2 years of experience with the following technologies:
  • Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Office365
  • Virtualization (VMware preferred)
  • VoIP phone systems
  • VPN, Microsoft Remote Desktop
  • Backup and recovery software
  • Video conferencing
• Minimum foundational experience with TCP/IP networking (subnets, firewall rules, DNS, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of PowerShell scripting to automate repetitive work and/or maintain existing scripts
• Strong proficiency in configuration and installation and troubleshooting of hardware equipment
• Basic from end and object-oriented coding experience is ideal but not required (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java/Python, etc.)
• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred
• MCP, MCSA, MCSE, or CCNA certification preferred
• Customer-service oriented mindset possessing the ability to interface with TJT employees in person or virtually via phone, email, or video support
• Acute ability to configure and install computer hardware equipment
