Common Bond Hotels is Hiring a Director of Sales Near Louisville, KY

The Common Bond Hotel Collection is looking for a Director of Sales to support their current properties in Bardstown and Louisville!

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Sales is responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives to maximize revenue and occupancy for each hotel in the brand portfolio. Reporting directly to the COO, you will lead a high-performing sales team, build strong client relationships, and collaborate with various departments to ensure the continued success of our hotels.

Efforts will include analysis and reporting of sales metrics, management of sales activities for all properties. Lead by example to establish brand culture and excellent customer service at each property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain and promote a teamwork environment through clear communication and positive leadership.
  • Develop annual Strategic Sales Plan-- establish hotel revenue, expenses, and strategies and implement these plans.
  • Manage sales team that is responsible for contracting negotiated rates, group contracts, and private events.
  • Develop company sales policies and SOPs.
  • Drive customer loyalty and brand awareness by delivering excellent service throughout each customer experience.
  • Identify and pursue business through prospecting calls, visits, site tours, lunches, and networking events.
  • Produce annual Budget and monthly Forecast in conjunction with the Revenue Director.
  • Analyze STR, sales, and revenue reports to identify trends and future demand opportunities.
  • Work closely with Revenue Director to conduct ongoing price and product analysis to ensure proper rate positioning.
  • Attend and contribute to all revenue and sales strategy meetings and calls.
  • Ensure the timely preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports such as Pace & Productivity Reports, Sales Strategy/Action Plan Reports, Monthly Executive Summary, etc.
  • Works closely with Director of Marketing for the development and execution of sales and marketing plans that support revenue objectives through collateral, direct sales, advertising, digital marketing, social media, property level publicity and promotional events.
  • Ensure hotels' sales expenses are in accordance with annual business plan and hotel profitability.
  • Establish relationships with key community organizations such as bourbon distilleries, DMCs, and other local attractions to leverage exclusive partnerships for guest experiences.
  • Work with Louisville Tourism and Kentucky Department of Tourism on opportunities for promotion ranging from trade shows, client events, FAMs, and advertising.
  • Understand the operations of the hotel, including food and beverage, guest services, reservations, and housekeeping; collaborate with different departments to determine best practices and manage guest expectations appropriately
  • Monitor hotel and event trends by reviewing industry publications and attending relevant conferences.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 10 years in the hospitality industry with sales and management experience
  • Knowledge of Food and Beverage including Banquets & Catering.
  • Experience with hospitality marketing and development and execution of marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with hotel technology, software, and sales CRM.
  • Computer competency required-Significant knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and ability to learn new technology and applications.
