Moo Jersey is a growing beloved local ice cream brand and we're looking for help with ice cream production. In addition to make ultra premium classic American ice cream flavors, we are the hosts of the Mile Square Meltdown, a Hoboken-based 300 person ice cream eating contest.

We make our ice cream in small batches in a commercial kitchen in Orange, and have a deep dedication to imparting craftsmanship and fun to everything that we do.

Responsibilities include:

*Cooking Ice Cream base according to recipe and agreed upon schedule

*Packing pints and samples of ice cream

*Churning Ice Cream in a batch freezer to create flavors

*Helping to come up with new flavor ideas and identifying process efficiencies

*Following all sanitary guidelines, health code, and maintaining a clean workspace

*Completing a production log

*Sample every ice cream before packaging :)

Requirements:

• Ability to work 4-8 hour shifts
• Food Manager License
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to life 20-50 pounds
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Ability to take feedback and constantly be looking for ways to improve
• Demonstrate a high level of productivity and eagerness to work
• Strict hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Current State Food Handlers card or interest in obtaining one
• Ability to lift 20-50 pounds

Bonus:

• Interest or knowledge of pastry skills and candy making
• Experience with large volume dessert production

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Pastry: 1 year (Required)
