The Integration Medical Director acts as a liaison between health system administrations, affiliate partners, UCSF SOM chairs, leaders and faculty, and sets of medical staff, providing oversight and direction for the coordination of patient care services and physician matters. He/she will collaborate with multiple hospital administrations and multiple physicians and physician groups to ensure high-quality, accessible and affordable patient care is delivered between health systems.During the integration period, the Senior Physician Executive, Network Integration, coordinates medical operations for the hospital(s) or clinic(s) being merged, acquired or affiliated by understanding the current state of patient care and working with the network integration leader to ensuring patients receive the highest quality clinical care, providing physician leadership for the UC owned or affiliated health system. Implements safe, cost-effective, efficient medical interventions and ensures seamless medical care across inpatient units and ambulatory sites. Partners with existing clinical leadership at the network site to determine clinical needs and facilitates prioritization of needs with UCSF Health network and other potential partners.
