GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate will Perform all Repair operations of incoming customer returns (RMA’s) to our technical support department. The technician will test completed assemblies per related documents using specialized tools. Refers to technical drawings and written instructions such as Assembly & Test Procedures (ATP’s) and/or Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM’s) as required. Responsible for the Disassembly, Re-assembly, rework/repair and re-test of rejected parts being returned from customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Test as received, dis-assemble, Clean, rework/repair as required, re-assemble and re-test all valves returned
  • Set-up tests as required
  • Ensure products are properly tested, refurbished, or disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner
  • Capture data of all incoming returns accurately in order to capture the scope of work required for each RMA.
  • Follow daily RMA dispatch reports and other direction provided by Management.
  • Diagnose product issues and determine if the item is eligible for repair, replacement, or refund according to company policies
  • Identify causes for test failures, rework, and suggest corrective action as required (Submit to Manager for approval).
  • Provide manager with detailed analysis and test results in support of Corrective Action Requests, as needed.
  • Must be able to trouble shoot confirmed failures of any and all customer returns.
  • Seek and document lean ideas to improve efficiency in the department.
  • Maintain all hand tools in clean working condition.
  • Keep workstation and test equipment clean and free of unnecessary debris.
  • Properly handle and dispose of chemicals or materials used.
  • Maintain all safety standards and use safety equipment as required.
  • Manifest incoming and outgoing shipments from customers and to secondary repair centers (i.e. Sacramento)
  • Manage inventory: transfer items, perform counts, and find discrepancies
  • Receive work items from our warehouse and return when complete
  • Communicate with customers to resolve shipment issues as needed
  • Perform hardware and firmware updates
  • Build new systems with various hardware components
  • Request, prepare, pack and ship end-user’s RMA parts inquiries
  • Coordinate and collaborate return processes with Technical Support, Shipping and Financial Departments
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

In addition to these duties the candidate will possess the following abilities:

  • Must have some understanding of the Google Drive Platform
  • Understanding and an appreciation for all digital channels and how they can work together.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Must have a great positive attitude and be professional at all times.
  • Must have a desire to learn and be willing to take direction.
  • Must be responsible and reliable for work each week. Excellent attendance is required to service external and internal customers properly.
  • Must have excellent communication skills to interface with internal and external customers.
  • The individual must have the ability to read and interpret common business documents, including, reports, graphs, charts and diagrams. The ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers / clients in an effort to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers / clients, members of the business community or public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and to interpret graphs and diagrams.
