The Greer Group is seeking a Human Resources Specialist for a HVAC Wholesale Distributor in Raleigh. This is a temp to perm opportunity, with a strong possibility to be brought on early.

• Processes personnel actions including, but not limited to, new hires, transfers, promotions, pay changes, and separations.
• Ensure actions contain all necessary documentation and are processed in a timely manner. Ensures required forms are forwarded to appropriate area for further processing.
• Recruiting for open positions within the company. Initiating phone interviews and scheduling in-person interviews with department managers.
• Initiates pre-employment onboarding steps such as generating offer letters and completing onboarding forms. Conducts pre-employment background checks based on county, state and federal policy and job specific requirements.

This may include references;education verification;criminal, credit, and driving record background checks.

• Maintains applicant database and recruitment files to include data entry, formats recruitments for screening and referral, and compiles reports.
• Manages and uploads position change requests documentation from departments for further review and approval. Consults with Talent Acquisition.
• Prepares new employees for orientation, distributes forms and information, reviews forms for completeness and accuracy, and may process I-9 and other onboarding actions.
• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of experience in HR Admin
• Skilled in data entry.
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service.
• Basic knowledge of HR processes and systems
• Background check and drug screen
