GARDINER is Hiring a Fire Alarm Technician Near Solon, OH

Primary Role:

With safety being top priority, Fire Alarm Technician will service, install, inspect and troubleshoot life safety systems such as fire alarms and other low voltage systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Install, inspect, service and test fire alarm systems.
  • Perform customer training and provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain accurate, detailed documentation
  • Computer skills required
  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as necessary

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma, Formal Technical Training, or Military Training preferred
  • 1 year experience in Fire Alarm Industry and/or 1 year field service with electronics background
  • Required to obtain appropriate State of Ohio fire license
  • NICET certification a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
  • The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms above head for long periods of time; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and climb ladders.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
