Qualification, Education, and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
2-5 Years of experience in Material Handling or related industry
Comfortable working in a team environment
Experienced and proactive problem solver
Capable of clearly communicating and presenting to both internal and external stakeholders
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Strong technical writing skills preferred
MS Office experience
Strong Microsoft Excel skills preferred
Advanced mathematics skills with the ability to understand and develop mathematical models
Ability to travel up to 25% to support sales, project design, and installations
Essential Job Functions
Act as a subject matter expert on all Savoye product offerings
Collaborate with external & internal customers to develop automated solutions for material handling utilizing Savoye products
Develop budgets and firm cost estimates for Savoye product systems
Generate system and equipment drawings in AutoCAD and SolidWorks to meet the needs of the customer, and then follow these drawings through the procurement and manufacturing phases to ensure the correct product is delivered in a timely fashion
Provide technical support to internal and external project execution teams as it relates to Savoye products
Collaborate with suppliers and contractors as needed to support the project execution and product manufacturing teams
Write descriptions of operation, installation guidelines, and implementation guidelines for Savoye products
Travel for sales meetings and expos, equipment installation, equipment start-up, and customer training sessions
Support equipment start up, utilizing hand and power tools as needed for troubleshooting
Participate in special R&D and IP assignments as requested
Identify and communicate potential R&D opportunities to ensure Savoye products remain industry leading
Prioritize safety during project design, installation, and implementation phases. Actively engage in company safety discussions and protocols
Working Conditions
This position may require frequent travel to project sites within specified area(s).
Most tasks, projects, and communication with clients, team members, and Managers will be completed using a telephone, microphone, computer, and video technology.
Long periods of speaking, sitting, standing, typing, and may be required.
