Garrett Brands is Hiring a Brand Manager Near Chicago, IL

As a Brand Manager on the marketing team, you will build go-to market plans and strategies for Garrett Popcorn Shops. Plans will build upon the brand vision set for 2023 in Shops and on eCommerce that support accelerating growth, building engaged brand communities, and continuing to delight fans. This position will report directly into the Brand Director on Garrett Popcorn Shops.
In this position, you will blend intuition and data-based insights to create recommended integrated marketing action plans across communications, promotions, and products. You will build and monitor plans that deliver against our core equities and meet our financial goals, identifying opportunities to optimize and improve. You will partner with your cross-functional counterparts from customer experience, sales, operations, and finance as you develop and implement key initiatives throughout the year.
As a marketing team member, you will be a student of the consumer, speaking proficiently and professionally (internally and externally). This candidate should also be comfortable presenting and advocating for their recommendations (verbal and written) with manager and key stakeholders.
This position is best suited for someone with the desire and skill to work in an entrepreneurial environment. We are a small, close-knit team where good ideas are executed quickly. As such, the ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can hit the ground running and have the ingenuity to learn on the fly. This person can also successfully navigate cross-functionally to keep multiple projects and priorities moving forward to achieve agreed objectives, on time and on budget. This role has visibility to senior leaders, providing the opportunity to grow in your career at Garrett Brands, including opportunities to work on other brand portfolios.
Key Components of the Role
  • Lead day-to-day marketing campaign management for Garrett Popcorn Shops; work closely with internal creative and communications teams.
  • Drive execution forward on integrated marketing communications plans for Garrett Popcorn Shops via in-Shop and online experience; work closely with Shop operations and digital team.
  • Own annual promotion planning for Shops and eCommerce channels in collaboration with finance, marketing, and operations.
  • Lead business analytics and tracking (both online and in-shops) via first- and third-party data to measure against business objectives and strategies.
  • Collaborate with multiple business units outside of marketing, including operations, supply chain, finance, and Shop teams.
  • Blend intuition and data-based insights to identify and recommend unmet needs and growth opportunities.
  • Proactively ‘manage up’ and share ideas verbally and in writing with stakeholders.
  • Manage partner relationships; develop cross-functional relationships to enable successful development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Proficient knowledge of the Garrett consumer; ensure proper use of brand standards in all internal and external communication.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree in business, sales, or marketing preferred.
  • 4 years of marketing experience preferred; Minimum of 2 years in brand marketing (food & beverage preferred; QSR or retail experience is a plus).
  • Experience with motivating and leading cross-functional teams, often with strong influence skills and leadership without direct authority.
  • Experience with project management within a corporate or agency environment (take a project from an idea to execution to measurement and analysis).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data to build actionable business reports and recommendations.
  • Deliver executional excellence, with strong attention to detail, and an ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
  • Experience executing brand activations; passionate about consumer marketing.
  • Effective verbal and written communication; focused and motivating.
  • Proficient using MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel and other word processing programs.
