SCOPE of JOB
Performs a variety of electrical / electronic assembly operations on electro-mechanical systems or subsystems. Determines method and sequence of assembly operations where complete information is not readily available. Assembles, disassembles, repairs and wires devices according to engineering documents, sketches and / or directions. Utilizes hand and power tools and standard electrical / electronic assembly and soldering equipment, applying knowledge of mechanical and electrical interrelations. Will maintain up-to-date knowledge of ISO-9001 directives and quality procedures established by ESI.
JOB DUTIES
1. Assemble and disassemble a variety of electro-mechanical systems.
2. Understand and follow engineering drawings, schematics, wire lists and / or instructions of moderate complexity in order to complete electro-mechanical operations correctly and efficiently.
3. Perform such operations as drilling, tapping and soldering, as required.
4. Operate hand and power tools, as required.
5. Perform other varied tasks involving knowledge of system assembly and test requirements.
6. Trains other employees in electrical assembly operations, as required.
SUPERVISION
Receives: Reports to Manufacturing Supervisor. Receives direction and work schedules from the Production Coordinator and performs duties under minimal supervision.
Gives: None. Provides guidance to less experienced assembly personnel.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge: Vocational school or high school with courses in shop, blueprint reading and associated mathematics.
Experience: Two to three years of electrical / electronic assembly experience.
Training: Will maintain up-to-date knowledge of assembly practices and documentation and inventory standards as pertains to electron beam systems.
