We are looking for an ambitious and self-driven Embroidery Specialist to join our team! ­­­­ The Embroidery Specialist at Graphic Business Solutions (GBS) will partner with the operations team to maximize productivity and efficiency in the Apparel Department and on the production floor. The Embroidery Specialist will support the production team by following processes and procedures that help the team meet daily production goals.

Requirements

Essential Responsibilities and Characteristics of this Position include the Following:

• Assists production of Apparel products, ensuring performance and quality standards are consistently met
• Develops a strong working knowledge of all Apparel products and fabrics
• Ensures products are produced and shipped on time
• Reads and understands job tickets with attention to detail
• Organizes, prepares, and finishes Apparel products through the lens of FIFO (First In First Out) 
• Prepares apparel products for shipping by trimming and cleaning garments with the highest quality standards
• Performs trimming of all Apparel products
• Displays proficiency and is working towards expert knowledge of all Apparel products, materials, and tools associated with trimming
• Executes daily maintenance, production and shipping needs under the guidance of the Apparel Manager
• Communicates supply needs and maintains inventory so that production never stops
• Experienced in Lean Manufacturing principles
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Values-driven team member with strengths in strategy, organization, prioritization and execution of tasks, collaboration, integrity, respect, and trust
• 3 or more years of experience or equivalent in production positions
• An understanding of the print industry, Lean/TOC manufacturing, 6S, and process automation
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
