Information Security Engineer - Senior

Responsibilities

• Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Software Engineering, software design and implementation, security techniques, Cybersecurity, cryptographic algorithms and NSA security requirements.
• Engineer and execute recommended improvements to raise the security posture and capability of the enterprise.

• Develop and maintain standard operating process documentation to enable knowledge transfer, cross-training, and disaster recovery needs.

• Experienced in software and systems engineering.
• Experienced in Software-Defined Radio (SDR) design and implementation Experience in system engineering.
• Experienced US Army Single-Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS) waveform
• Possess, knowledge skills and abilities surrounding secure file transmission protocol for the Tactical Secure Voice Cryptographic Interoperability Specification (TSVCIS)
• Must demonstrate a respectful demeanor.

• In depth experience with:
  1. Programming languages: C , C, Python, Bash shell scripting, Java, Visual Basic, assembly language for various chip architectures (ARM7x, ARM926x, Intel x86, Zilog Z80
  2. Operating Systems: Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, Kali Linux), FreeRTOS, Windows, VxWorks, MS-DOS
  3. Security and Cryptographic: Public Key Cryptography(RSA-PKCSx, DH, DSA, ECDSA, ECDH), Public Ciphers (DES/TDES, AES), Government(NSA Suite A and Suite B), Security Requirements (FIPS 140-2)
  4. Communications Interfaces: TCP/IP Socket Programming, RS-232, RS-485, RS-422, IEEE-488 (GPIB), I2C

Clearance:

Education & Experience:

• 10-15 years of experience in information technology.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM program.

Location:

• Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland.
• This is a hybrid remote position based on the government customer’s approval.
• Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Schedule flexing is available with the PM’s approval.
