Phoenix Police Department is Hiring a Management Assistant II - Neighborhood Services Department Near Phoenix, AZ

ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Neighborhood Services Department (NSD) currently has a vacant Management Assistant II (MA II) position in the Neighborhood Revitalization Division. The MA II position performs several professional administrative tasks including conducting research and analysis, drafting policies and procedures, and evaluating programs, and services. This position aims to serve the purpose of developing and implementing recommendations that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Department and Division programs and services.
The MA II will be responsible for completing a range of administrative and technical tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Working with staff to draft and or review legislative documents for Subcommittee and Formal Council approval.
  • Participating in the presenting of written administrative, financial, grant, and contract reports and evaluations.
  • Supporting the implementation of the Deputy Director's strategic vision and plan.
  • Managing the compilation and / or revision of department performance measures.
The MA II will also serve as a liaison for several Citywide working groups or teams and hold procurement duties which support the Division and Department needs. The MA II may supervise appropriate position(s).

  • Knowledge of City Council reports, processes and the Legistar software.
  • Familiarity with Federal and or State grant administration.
SALARY
Pay Range: $67,849 to $116,022 annually.
Hiring Range: $67,849 to $105,248 annually.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Three years of professional-level experience in research, finance or public administration.
  • Master's degree in business or public administration, or a related field.
  • Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience creating, managing, and monitoring/tracking Systems.
  • Experience creating business reports and presentations.
  • Experience updating and maintaining intranet pages using SharePoint.
  • Experience conducting independent research and making recommendations on complex problems and projects.
  • Experience serving as a liaison working with multiple internal and external teams.
  • Experience leading projects and initiatives.
