MONROE PHYSICIAN ASSOCIATES RURAL HEALTH CLINIIC -------------------------------LPN or Medical Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN or Medical Assistant to join our team. As a LPN or Medical Assistant, you will provide essential support to healthcare professionals in a Rural Health Clinic setting. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with patient care, performing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the Rural Health Clinic.

Duties:
- Sets up patient exam rooms - Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Obtain and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Performs office tests, draws blood, gives injections
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and handling insurance forms
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Assist with coding and billing processes
- Provide exceptional patient service and address any concerns or questions

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assistant program preferred; or if non-certified possess at least 2 or more years experience; or applicant may be a Licensed Practical Nurse with current licensure.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficiency in medication administration and dosage calculations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team setting
