Summary:

The Medical Assistant Educator works with staff in the Medical Assistant role to train and educate using a safe, professional, and team centered approach. Support the various tasks assigned and/or created by the Staff Development Department.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work performed at the Administration Office
• Understand and teach clinic role duties
• Obtain certification to become a CPR Instructor and teach CPR classes
• Educate and retain existing clinic staff
• Collaborate with Staff Development Manager and clinic managers throughout the training process
• Review, revise, and create training materials
• Participate in the training activities assigned to and/or planned by the Staff Development Team
• Be familiar with and able to train in any clinic
• Possess reliable transportation and willingness to travel to all clinics
• Maintain knowledge of EHR by staying current on updates and workflow changes to train and support new and existing employees
• Provide Electronic Health Record (EHR) training and support for all staff & Providers
• Provide encouragement and support during the training process
• Create a non-judgmental and safe learning environment
• Provide constructive feedback to staff
• Able to effectively communicate and have difficult conversations
• Ability to adapt to ever evolving work environment and responsibilities
• Adapt training plans to accommodate different learning styles and needs
• Participate in the recruiting and interview process for new hires
• Communicate with team members and managers regularly via email, Teams, etc.
• Collaborate with various external Medical Assistant training programs

• Keep current on Allegro Pediatrics policies, systems workflows, training guidelines and software updates
