5-Star Northwest Medical Homes formerly Springfield Family Physicians is looking to hire an energetic, hardworking and sincere team player to join our Patient Services department (Front Desk, Scheduling, Medical Records, or Pod Clerk). Must possess exceptional patient-centered skills, must be able to multi-task and remain flexible, Must be fully Covid-19 vaccinated.

Overall duties for each position:

Front Desk - Greeting and checking in patients, attaching documents to a patients file, answering incoming and outgoing scheduling calls, scheduling patients, rescheduling patients, setting patients up in system, insurance verification, data entry, etc.

Pod Clerk - Attaching documents to a patients file, answering incoming and outgoing scheduling calls, scheduling patients, rescheduling patients, setting patients up in system, insurance verification, data entry, etc.

Scheduling - Answering incoming and outgoing scheduling calls, scheduling patients, rescheduling patients, setting patients up in system, insurance verification, etc.

• Additional tasks:
• Working with your coworkers to ensure smooth communication throughout
• Having knowledge of where all staff is located, and how to reach them if necessary
• Always thinking ahead if you have any down time. Think of things you can do to help yourself. e. fill printers with paper, organize the lobby, tidy up your desk area etc.
• Scanning completed paperwork in-to patients charts
• Answering incoming calls when the operator may be over-flowed with calls
• Assisting in other departments due to illness, vacation, staff shortage etc.
• Ability to perform other duties or projects as requested by management
• Knowledge and demonstration of HIPAA rules & regulations

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to work at a computer 90-95% of an eight-hour shift.
• Able to repetitively stand up and sit down throughout an eight-hour shift
• Must be able to hear alarms and phones
• Able to lift up to 10# infrequently
