Gage Professionals is Hiring a Development and Events Coordinator Near Reading, PA

Development and Events Coordinator opportunity with local non-profit!

Job Summary: Primary responsibility is to oversee, maintain and implement the annual giving campaign, special events and special giving campaigns for Mary’s Shelter. The position will also be responsible for serving as an advocate for the organization, attending community events and participating in speaking engagements

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain and implement all fundraising initiatives for the organization including but not limited to the annual giving campaign, special appeals and special events.
  • Plan and execute all fundraising events for the organization including Bowl-A-Thon, Casino Night, Anniversary events, and any other related events
  • Provide oversight to third party fundraisers held on behalf of Mary’s Shelter
  • Contributes to the development of communication materials, including publications, used in cultivation, solicitation, acknowledgment and steward major and special gift prospects
  • Develop and implement strategies that nurture donor loyalty and foster personal relationships with the organization; solicits and stewards existing and prospective donors who are capable of giving at the defined gift levels
  • Complete necessary paperwork and filing for the development office.
  • Maintain a complete database of donor files, mailing addresses and contact information. Track philanthropic giving, donor visits and event attendance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years experience, with demonstrated success in developing strategies for annual giving, solicitation, and stewardship
  • Detail oriented and ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Proficient computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Email and Internet
  • Must provide current PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal History and FBI Fingerprinting clearances within 30 days of commencing employment
