We have experienced considerable growth since moving into our 8,650 square foot store with added services and are looking for an Assistant Store Manager that embraces our vision.

Wet Nose is the first of its kind…a safe haven for dogs and cats, in a retail setting. From Fear Free® grooming and training, to Fear Free® play time for anxious dogs, our mission is to educate and offer support to the pets in our community and the fur-parents that love them. Every Wet Nose team member is a Fear Free Certified Professional® along with all service partners, trainers, groomers, massage therapists and chiropractors. We are a unified team, with a common mission.

We strongly believe in work-life balance for our team, which is why our store has reasonable hours: Monday-Friday 10am-6pm, Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 11am-4pm. All team members, including management, work no more than a 40 hour work week, with 2 days off. We work hard and are serious about what we do, but love to laugh and have fun.

A Wet Nose Assistant Store Manager:

• Has a minimum of 2 years experience in a retail assistant management position
• Loves to engage with people and lives to make them happy
• Absolutely, positively loves pets (and has a few of their own)
• Is self motivated and possesses a strong work ethic
• Focuses on exceeding sales goals on a consistent basis
• Maintains a professional relationship with Ownership and Staff
• Is comfortable with technology
• Manages his/her team with kindness and fairness
• Has the ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Is energetic and has a sense of humor
• Is honest, reliable and responsible
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends

An ideal candidate for this role has strong leadership skills, a track record of increasing sales and customer satisfaction, and experience in implementing innovative strategies to improve overall store performance. The Assistant Store Manager works to support the Store Manager in all areas of the business, including supervision of various departments and tasks, such as the sales floor, grooming department, dog training, visual merchandising, staff training, etc.
