FKG Oil Company seeks an HVAC and Refrigeration Technician to support our 85 stores across the Midwest at our headquarters in Belleville, Illinois.

Functions

• Conduct maintenance and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Evaluate HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Conduct proper preventative maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Reading and understanding schematic

Requirements

• 5 years’ experience preferred
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and pass a pre-employment background check
• Must be at least 23 years of age
• Must be certified to handle refrigeration liquids
• Strong understanding of the following: Electrical components of equipment and electrical code, plumbing, building and maintenance equipment
• Prior electric work experience
• Desire and ability to continue learning
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Lift, push, and carry heavy items, sit, stoop, kneel, walk, and climb stairs and ladders

Working Conditions

This is a full-time hourly position requiring occasional overtime with standard hours of 6:00 am to 2:00 pm CST. All technicians are required to be on call one week every 8 weeks.

Consists of daily travel in company vehicle to store locations with an occasional, rare overnight stay.
