Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and supporting the medical staff. This is a full-time position located in a hospital setting. Responsibilities: - Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers - Provide basic life support and assist during medical emergencies - Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and verifying insurance information - Deliver exceptional patient service by greeting and assisting patients, answering their questions, and ensuring their comfort - Assist with coding and billing procedures to ensure accurate documentation and reimbursement - Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vital signs, obtaining medical histories, and assisting with procedures - Perform basic X-Ray procedures under the supervision of a licensed radiologist - Provide direct patient care, including wound care, dressing changes, and specimen collection - Utilize medical terminology to accurately document patient information Skills: - Proficiency in medication administration techniques - Basic life support (BLS) certification required - Strong knowledge of medical administrative procedures and electronic health records systems - Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically - Familiarity with coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT - Experience with inhalation therapies and equipment preferred - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment - Knowledge of X-Ray procedures and equipment is a plus - Understanding of medical terminology and ability to accurately document patient information We offer competitive pay rates for this position.
