Pasco Southwest Home Health is Hiring a HR - Payroll Assistant Near Cortez, CO

JOB SUMMARY
The human resource assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Answers phones for the HR department.
2. Handles employment application intake.
3. Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
4. Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
5. Assists with new-employee orientations.
6. Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions.
7. Prepares job postings.
8. Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
9. Assists the manager with HR projects.
10. Assists with benefits administration.
11. Prompt data entry for all employee information into software for payroll and deduction purposes.
12. Assists and distributes copies of information as needed and initiates manual check request with proper form to Director of Business Operations or administration for payroll check corrections and reports payroll errors after every payroll.
13. Coordinates reports and additional information to accounting firm and management personnel in a timely manner.
14. Assists in maintaining proper records, files and receipts for all offices in regard to payroll process and deductions.
15. Correlate information needed for distribution of W2's at the end of the year.
16. Maintains personnel files according to policy.
17. Assists with orientation of new employees and distributes Employee Manual.
18. Assists in maintaining current contracts on contracted personnel for HR and payroll purposes.
19. Performs other necessary functions as assigned by the administration, Director of Operations and governing body.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
1. High school graduate or equivalent
2. At least two years of experience in health care data entry, preferably in home health care systems.
3. Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills in person, over the phone (verbal and text) and over email.
4. Establishes productive organizational skills and habits.
5. Provides excellent customer service skills.
6. Strong team skills.
7. Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
8. Technical aptitude to know, learn and master the agency's software.
9. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment.
10. Promote and demonstrate company core values and mission.

Salary $ 16.00 - $21.00
