Retail Allocations Analyst

Reyn Spooner's Retail Allocations Analyst is responsible for properly allocating our merchandise and optimizing each store's inventory in order to maximize sales, gross margin and inventory turns for Reyn Spooner’s retail stores. This position works on our Planning team and works cross functionally with our Retail Store and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate current and future weeks of supply needs by store and collaborate with the retail and operations teams to recommend future allocations and transfer strategies.
• On a weekly basis, evaluate Retail inventory bulks to determine if they should be kept or released.
• Develop relationships with store teams, incorporating feedback on adjustments for future allocations by store.
• Prepare initial stock orders for store openings.
• Prepare product launches, calculating the stock needed in each store and communicating any relevant information to key stakeholders.
• Investigate the root cause of overstocks and out of stocks to continuously improve our processes
• Other projects to help the Planning team manage the Company's inventory.

Our Must Have's

• A passion for fashion. It's not an easy business, so you have to love it.
• Experience working in a retail store environment is a big plus, so that you understand how important the job of an Allocation Analyst is to all the Sales Associates working in our stores.
• 1-2 years of experience working as an Allocation Analyst is a big plus.
• Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills (by this we mean fluent in the use of pivot tables, vlookups, @sumif, etc). You should be an Excel user who only uses keystroke commands in order to save time.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly, so that you can automate mundane routine work.
• Curiosity and the desire to understand how and why things work the way they do.
• A love of metrics and benchmarking, so that you can measure the results you are delivering for our retail team, and constantly drive improvements in those results.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative, Aloha culture.
• A home base in Southern California with the ability to work from our Pasadena Mainland Headquarters at least two days a week.
• The desire to learn and grow with the company.
