The Energy Network Worldwide LLC is Hiring a Field inspector Near Plymouth, MN

Energy Rating Field Inspector - Home Energy Rating (HERS)

TENww a leader in the building science and construction field, works with our clients to help them build durable, comfortable, and energy-efficient buildings while maximizing utility rebates and limiting warranty exposure.

A Rating Field Inspector (RFI) conducts field inspections of residential construction projects for the purpose of performing a Home Energy Rating (HERS).

An RFI is responsible for inspecting, documenting, and testing a home during different phases of the construction process.

An RFI is also responsible for establishing and maintaining a professional working relationship with our clients, project managers, including but not limited to other subcontractors as well.

Key Responsibilities / Requirements :

  • Perform blower door, duct blaster, and ventilation testing on new construction projects.
  • Document and interpret testing results.
  • Document windows, insulation, HVAC, appliances, and building envelope characteristics.
  • Make recommendations on improvements clients can make.
  • Recognize issues during construction that may cause comfort, moisture, warranty, or indoor air quality concerns.
  • Communicate effectively and confidently with our clients and coworkers regarding scheduling and issues found during inspections.
  • Self-starters can effectively map out travel from their house to multiple construction sites while minimizing travel time and maximizing time on sites.

Areas include the Greater Twin Cities area and Outstate.

A good driving record, insurance, and reliable transportation are required (mileage reimbursed).

Qualifications / Requirements :

  • Must have the ability to become certified as an RFI by RESNET within 60 days of being hired.
  • Company will pay for all training and testing required.
  • Requires Valid / Current Driver’s License, reliable transportation / insurance.

Construction knowledge, including framing, insulation, and HVAC.
