Integrated Technologies, Inc is Hiring an Ultrasonic NDT Level 1 Near Everett, WA

Summary:

Intec is a composites parts manufacturer and materials testing service provider primarily serving the aerospace industry. Intec has a team-based culture focused on customer satisfaction. We are looking for a certified NDT Level 1 Ultrasonic Inspector.

Supports ultrasonic inspection of parts and test articles at Intec. The NDT Level 1 Inspector performs inspection and evaluation for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions, and records results under the supervision of the NDT Level 2 and/or 3. The NDT technician is part of the Quality Team at Intec and reports to the Quality Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Stage and prepare parts for inspection; operate scanning equipment.
  • Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection using A-scan, C-scan, phased array and TTU Methods.
  • Apply inspection criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
  • Organize and report test results.
  • Interface daily with management about work priorities and progress of projects.
  • Work closely with management to identify and remove obstacles.
  • Maintain equipment and keep area clean and organized.
  • Train for certification(s) under the direct observation of Ultrasonic Level 2 or Level 3 personnel

Qualifications:

Education or Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with composite material preferred.
  • NDT Level 1 Certification per NAS 410 in Ultrasonic inspection.
  • Experience conducting and documenting first article inspection.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections.
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

Computer Skills:

Internet software systems; Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).

  • Must be highly collaborative and able to work effectively in a participative, team-oriented environment, with customers, suppliers, and all employees in a professional and respectful manner.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment may be loud at times. The employee is also exposed to both climate controlled and non-climate-controlled environments, fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous chemicals depending upon the work activity.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, and hear. Able to stand for extended periods, and/or work at a desk and attend meetings. The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
