University Park Dermatology & Medical Spa is an established yet growing dermatology practice with a state-of-the-art Medical Spa, located in sunny Sarasota, Florida.

We are looking for an energetic, positive Cosmetic Medical Assistant to join our team.

The ideal candidate loves hands-on patient care, is familiar with assisting and preparing for cosmetic procedures, including Botox, fillers, as well as lasers, RF Microneedling, CoolSculpting, Emsculpt Neo and an array of medical grade skincare products.

The right individual should be well-spoken, organized, personable, and able to multitask, and have at least 1 year of cosmetic medical experience working either in dermatology or a medical spa. Time management is KEY!

Other duties include:

• Rooming patients
• Documenting encounters and scribing for the provider
• Calling patients to follow up on procedures
• Front desk help including answering phones, check-in, and check-out

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some Saturday hours. Competitive salary, health insurance, dental, vision, 401k, uniforms and paid vacation as well as quarterly cosmetic services!

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinates with clinic staff to ensure an exceptional patient experience - from the waiting room to check out. Prepares and assists providers with the collection, documentation, processing, and verification of information related to patient care in an electronic medical records (EMR) system. Modernizing Medicine (EMA) experience a plus! Communicates patient concerns and needs to the healthcare provider. Provides timely responses to patient inquiries and timely completion of assigned tasks. Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively on the phone, in writing as well as ability to exercise discretion on sensitive and confidential matters.

Minimum Requirements:

This position requires completion of a High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Verifiable successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

One or more years of cosmetics experience in a medical spa.

One or more years of demonstrated customer service experience.

Experience working with an EMR system.

Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Licensed aestheticians will also be considered.
