We are seeking a seasonal Manager of Facility Services to play an essential role in the US Open experience from June 1, 2024 - October 1, 2024.

The Role

The primary duty for this position is to serve as the Manager, overseeing the National Tennis Center trades and maintenance vendors. Starting during US Open preparation and through the US Open, daily management of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and other facility maintenance vendors. Daily utilization of CMMS building work ticket system and workflow and assignment of work tickets to associated trade and close out of work tickets assigned.\

• Daily management of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, elevator/escalator vendor and trades responsible for site maintenance projects leading up to and through the US Open.
• Daily oversight of CMMS work ticket requests, assignment to vendors, facility management and subsequent close out of work tickets.
• Manage the NTC lamp room. Keep up to date inventory of NTC light fixtures and place orders as necessary. Daily management of re-lampers and oversight of all necessary lighting repairs/changes.
• Liaison between FDNY and NTC on necessary inspections and required facility use permits
• Responsible for ensuring that plumbing, electrical, elevators, escalators and mechanical systems are operating efficiently and to ensure NYC code compliance.
• Responsible for enforcing NTC safety protocols and ensuring all laws, codes, ordinances, policies, procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules/regulations and emergency procedures are followed.

Who You Are

• 7 years of increasing responsibilities demonstrated supervisory experience within the Building/Trade industry with maintenance and operations experience of large sporting venues or similar.
• Proficient computer skills are required. Knowledge of CMMS building software, BMS or similar systems.
• Working knowledge reading blueprints and construction plans.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical and fire alarm systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Able and willing to work 5 days per week June 1-October 1; every day of the US Open Tournament (7 days per week, mid Aug-mid Sept)

Hourly Pay Rate: $40 per hour OT (1.5x)
