Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Office of the Dean at the University of Maryland School of Public Health is seeking a skilled strategic thinker, communicator, and facilitator to coordinate diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism and belonging ( DEIAB ) and well-being activities within the school. This position requires independent thought and action, strong interpersonal skills, and experience communicating and facilitating programming within communities and across differences. This position will focus on strengthening and expanding the capacity of faculty, staff, and students within SPH around interacting within and across DEIAB and along the eight dimensions of wellbeing. The person in this position will communicate and model the DEIAB as well as the Happiness and Wellness values of the school.
The person in this position will create, coordinate, and facilitate inclusive and innovative approaches to support momentum for the Schools wellness and happiness goals as well as processes of truth and transformation. The work done will be around all dimensions of oppression and identity, centering on racial justice, and also grounded in LGBTQIA , immigrant, gender, socioeconomic, religious, class, and disability justice, as well as the Happiness and Wellness Initiative. A key component of this position will include assembling and sharing resources and communicating/connecting with communities to enact change based upon the DEIAB and wellbeing needs and strategic goals of the school.
