U.S. Orthopaedic Partners is Hiring a DATA VALIDATION ENGINEER Near Alpharetta, GA

USOP is a dynamic and innovative Orthopaedic Healthcare company committed to leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive business success. We seek a skilled and detail-oriented Data Validation Engineer to join our Alpharetta, GA-based team in ensuring our data's accuracy, integrity, and reliability through Azure Data Factory.
The Data Validation Engineer's duties include creating and maintaining a relationship with analysts, IT, and leadership, securing data, identifying areas for improvement with the infrastructure, and pinpointing data access to new systems through constant acquisitions. This mid-level position triages multiple incoming priorities, understands staff service needs, responds to data warehouse inquiries/requests/issues, provides technical support, and identifies and resolves issues/incidents with high satisfaction, technical knowledge, and timeliness.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in data validation, quality assurance, and related roles.
  • Proficiency in using Azure Data Factory for data integration and validation.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with SQL, data modeling, and database systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Azure Data Factory certification.
  • Experience with other Azure services such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, etc.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and compliance regulation
  • Experience with healthcare-related data is preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Design and Implement Data Validation Processes:
  • Develop and implement robust data validation processes using Azure Data Factory to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design validation procedures accordingly.
  • Create and Maintain Data Quality Standards:
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards and best practices to maintain high-quality data throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Work closely with data governance teams to align validation processes with organizational data policies.
  • Execute Data Validation Tests:
  • Execute data validation tests to identify and rectify discrepancies in the data, ensuring adherence to predefined quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain automated validation scripts for efficient and scalable testing.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Data Issues:
  • Investigate and resolve data quality issues by collaborating with data owners, source systems, and other stakeholders.
  • Document and communicate findings, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor and Report on Data Quality Metrics:
  • Establish monitoring mechanisms to assess data quality metrics continuously.
  • Generate regular reports on data quality metrics, highlighting areas for improvement and success.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering Teams: Expanded Team of Analyst, Information technology, Operations Leadership
  • Work closely with data engineers to understand data pipelines and ensure seamless integration of validation processes into data workflows.
  • Provide input on data model improvements to enhance data quality.
