Position Title: Instructional Technology Specialist
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Reports To: Assistant Head of School
Hours: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Summary
This is a full-time position responsible for guiding faculty and staff in utilizing technology to enhance instruction, student learning, and outcomes. This professional should be ready to integrate into a number of dynamic teams meeting regularly to build a healthy environment for our students, collaborate to promote innovative learning, and participate in an active and community-driven faculty.

Responsibilities
Provides training, coaching, and technical support to teachers for the implementation of hardware and software technology across the divisions of the school
Provides system administration for LMS and related technologies across the divisions
Works with faculty in all divisions to understand the principles and goals of pedagogy at each developmental level and to identify and implement appropriate technological tools and solutions
Consults with division directors and individual teachers on how to use technology to improve the effectiveness of classroom pedagogy and the student experience
Researches new technologies and trends and contributes to the visioning of new technological initiatives for improving student outcomes in each division
Curates practical tech resources for faculty, including building a library of how-to videos
Collaborates with and provides consultation for the IT department in choosing and providing devices, hardware, and software that meet the programmatic needs of teachers and students
Provides consultation to the admin team in writing and revising tech policies
In partnership with the IT department, the academic coordinator, and division directors, researches and proposes new ways to enhance teaching and learning, promote innovation and foster purposeful, meaningful, and creative integration of technology
Promotes continued development and use of the school’s Responsible Use Policy (RUP), student Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program, digital citizenship program, and current technology standards
Works with vendors to resolve complex issues with learning and collaborative technologies
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master's degree in education, computer science, or related field
Three to five years of related experience in education, with three years in the classroom preferred
Demonstrated experience with various digital platforms and operating systems
Deep knowledge of educational technology, design, and implementation with a continued passion for learning
High regard for students, respect for their work, and recognition of their personal dignity
Experience working with diverse learners
Willingness to work in a dynamic team approach
Willingness to learn and apply a Montessori approach
Preferred Qualifications
Montessori experience
Physical Requirements and Work Experience
Regularly sit, talk, and listen. Regularly use close and distance vision.
