JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Accounts Payable Business Partner

REPORTS TO: Controller

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Accounts Payable Business Partner is part of Splashlight's financial engine and is responsible for processing accounts payable transactions from purchase orders to payment, especially those related to Splashlight photo and video productions. 

Splashlight produces a high volume of eCommerce visual content for high-profile clients such as Target, Nike, David Yurman, and many more. Our ideal candidate will thrive in our very fast-paced, creative, and dynamic environment and desire to be an integral part of an amazing team!

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

Efficient PO Processing - With experience in handling large volumes of purchase orders, a skilled bookkeeper can streamline the PO processing workflow. They can ensure that all POs are accurately created, reviewed, and approved promptly, minimizing delays and errors.

Vendor Management - You will maintain up-to-date vendor information, including contact details, payment terms, and discounts. This facilitates smooth communication and transactions with suppliers, fostering strong vendor relationships.

Inventory Tracking - By closely monitoring POs and reconciling them with received goods or services, you can help maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring the visual content provider has the necessary resources for their productions.

Budget Control - With their expertise in financial management, you will track expenses against budgets, ensuring that purchases align with available funds and obtaining necessary approvals for larger expenditures.

Reporting and Analysis - You will generate comprehensive reports on purchase orders, expenditures, and vendor performance. This data can be analyzed to identify trends, optimize spending, and make informed decisions for future productions.

System Integration - An experienced AP Business Partner with advanced skills in accounting software like NetSuite will seamlessly integrate the PO system with other business tools, ensuring data consistency and reducing redundant data entry.

By leveraging your expertise in high-volume PO processing, vendor management, and financial control, you will help Splashlight streamline our operations, maintain accurate records, and ensure efficient resource allocation for our numerous productions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a high volume of purchase orders related to our photo productions with precision and efficiency.
  • Coordinate closely with Producers to ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase orders.
  • Utilize your advanced NetSuite skills to navigate complex financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in budgeting and cost tracking for photo productions to ensure profitability.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines without compromising accuracy or quality.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely processing of purchase orders and financial documentation.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the Finance, Production, and Procurement teams fostering seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provide financial insights and support to Producers to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency in purchase order management.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to optimize financial operations.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • NetSuite experience is mandatory with at least 1 full year of use
  • Be a resourceful, collaborative problem solver
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to take the initiative 
  • Eagerness to work in an entrepreneurial environment that is constantly evolving 
  • Possess the highest degree of integrity
  • This position will be privy to confidential, financial, and personal information; therefore, discretion and the ability to maintain such information is MANDATORY
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field preferred
  • NetSuite ERP Solution experience is HIGHLY PREFERRED; similar ERP package experience a big PLUS
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience within a corporate accounting environment and/or general ledger experience
  • Strong computer skills, including G-Suite
