Driver Kingston TN (Non CDL)
A delivery driver for a construction company is responsible for transporting materials, equipment, and waste to and from various job sites. The delivery driver must ensure that the items are loaded and unloaded safely, securely, and efficiently. The delivery driver must also maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle and equipment.
Key Duties
- Gather the required materials and equipment from the shop or supplier and load them onto the vehicle and trailer. This requires physical labor.
- Deliver the materials and equipment to the designated job sites according to the schedule and instructions. Most projects are in Knoxville and surrounding areas.
- Pick up the construction demolition and waste from the job sites and dispose of them properly. Using a hydraulic dump trailer.
- Organize the materials and equipment in the vehicle and the laydown yard to ensure easy access and inventory.
- Return any unused or excess materials and equipment to the warehouse or supplier. Submit the return inventory list to the office.
- Inspect and maintain the vehicle and equipment regularly and report any issues or damage. Develop a repair/Maintenance plan.
- Follow the safety and traffic rules and regulations and adhere to the company policies and procedures.
