Description

The Lunch Box Artisan will interact directly with guests at the Lunch Box in order to create a sandwich that is especially to their liking. Artisans must be detailed oriented and have the ability to multitask in a calm and collected manner and create a memorable experience for our guests in order to ensure their return. Artisans will report to the Food & Beverage Manager

This position requires availability on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Follows procedures for opening, closing or ongoing maintenance according to shift.
• Guides each guest through the menu, offerings, suggesting items that cater to the guest’s needs or that feature what we do best.
• Take and process guests’ orders in a timely fashion.
• Handle cash, credit or check transactions with customers
• Scan goods and collect payments
• Manage a high volume of business, ensuring that guests are greeted as they arrive.
• Anticipate guests and their needs.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop and keeps supplies stocked at all times.
• Thank guests and ask that they return.
• Able to handle cash and make change with or without the assistance of the POS Terminal.
• Responsible for counting the contents of cash register drawer before and at the end of each shift, maintaining receipts, records and coupons.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of various POS systems is a plus.
• Must be able to stand on feet for at least 6 hours.
• Basic math skills.
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
• Familiar with industry’s best practices.
• Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal communication and organization skills.
• Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
• Must have and maintain a valid SB County Food Handlers Certification.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
