SBLI is Hiring a Performance Marketing Director Near Woburn, MA

The Performance Marketing Director will be a member of SBLIs marketing department and spearhead our direct-to-consumer lead generation efforts, utilizing a comprehensive approach that integrates both digital and traditional marketing channels. This role is critical for driving measurable growth within our direct channel, focusing on innovative strategies to enhance lead quality, volume, cost-effectiveness, and conversion. The ideal candidate will possess a keen analytical mindset, creativity, and a deep understanding of the customer journey to optimize all touchpoints for conversion. SBLI employees work a hybrid model, including in-office time of at least 3-days a week.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Strategy Development and Execution
    Execute and further develop a cohesive marketing strategy that leverages digital and traditional channels (e.g., email marketing, social media, PPC, SEO, direct mail, programmatic, video) to maximize lead generation and policy sales.
  • Cross-Channel Optimization: Continuously analyze and optimize marketing efforts across all channels to ensure they are contributing effectively to the overall strategy and driving appropriate ROI. This includes A/B testing, channel attribution analysis, and funnel optimization.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize analytics tools to track campaign performance, providing regular reports to leadership on key metrics, insights, and recommendations for further optimization.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget, allocating resources efficiently across channels to achieve the best possible ROI while experimenting with new tactics and technologies.
  • Collaboration
    Work closely with other departments (e.g., Direct Sales, Digital, Technology) to align marketing efforts and drive requirements needed to execute performance marketing programs successfully.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Negotiate and manage relationships with external marketing agencies, platforms, and technology providers to support marketing goals.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 7 years of experience in a performance marketing role, with a proven track record of driving lead generation and policy sales in a direct-to-consumer environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM platforms).
  • Experience managing budgets and marketing campaigns across both digital and traditional channels.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire a team towards achieving shared goals.
  • Innovative thinker, with a passion for testing new marketing strategies and technologies.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms a plus
  • Experience in traditional direct response media like direct mail a plus.
  • Direct to consumer insurance marketing experience a plus
  • Hybrid work model - up to two days remote weekly
