Position Overview:

We're seeking a meticulous and dependable individual to step into the role of Bookkeeper and Office Assistant, blending bookkeeping expertise with admin duties. You'll manage accounts and financial records while assisting with office tasks. With 3 years of experience, proficiency in accounting software, and keen attention to detail, you'll play a vital role in our financial operations. Position Details:

  • Position Type: Part-Time (12-16 hours per week).
  • Pay: $24-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience.
  • Schedule: Full days required on Mondays; additional full day or two half days each week, with flexible scheduling options available. Monday requirement could be negotiable for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping Functions:

  • Handle accounts payable processes accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements to provide insights into our financial health.
  • Update and manage daily and weekly cash flow analysis to support financial planning.
  • Generate month-end reports summarizing financial activities for review.
  • Conduct bank account and credit card reconciliations and provide reports to ensure accuracy.

Office Assistance:

  • Assist with answering phones, taking messages, and checking voicemail promptly and courteously.
  • Place orders for office supplies, monitor inventory levels, and ensure timely restocking.
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks to maintain common spaces and break room areas.
  • Receive and sort incoming mail and packages, distributing them to the appropriate recipients.
  • Provide general assistance to staff with office tasks to support daily operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience, special preference given to candidates with accounting or CPA credentials.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred; associate degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Experience with accounting software required, preference given to familiarity with Sage 100.
  • Proficiency in MS Office/Excel spreadsheets.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a team player with a can-do attitude!
  • Ability to pass a background check.
