Driver/Warehouse Worker Responsibilities
Include:
- Collaborating with procurement staff to list expected deliveries, ensuring labels are printed for incoming deliveries
- Receiving shipments and labeling each box
- Signing paperwork upon receipt
- Unloading packages from incoming trucks
- As needed basis, able to drive truck (non-CDL) to allocated route
Job brief
We are looking for a responsible Person to receive, inspect, record and deliver shipments with raw material or products. You will be responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match the orders.
A Clerk must have a great eye for detail and basic math skills. They must also have adequate physical strength to unload shipping’s as well as the clerical skills to update records and follow up with suppliers.
The goal is to ensure we receive the correct packages and stock, rotate and label them appropriately.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
- Unload packages from incoming trucks and place barcode label on each box
- Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
- Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)
- Contact buyer or manager if a mistake is identified.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Perform inventory controls with scanner and keep quality standards high for audits
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Complete diary logs into inventory
- Report any discrepancies to management
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
- Safely deliver goods to assigned locations/route per needed basis
Requirements
Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data, Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems
- Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
- Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
- Basic math and recording abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Great communication and interpersonal abilities
- Keen eye for detail
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Current forklift license
- High school degree
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
