Job Purpose: The Accounts Receivable Specialist controls all invoicing and order release processes within the company’s ERP system. Processes related shipping and export documentation for international orders. Monitors and negotiates the collection of overdue accounts. Monitors credit and collection processes for making recommendations on opportunities for improvement. Participates in the investigation of credit risk for our business customers and advises on a course of action for credit applications. Designs and implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables. Ensures that project/department milestones and goals are met. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

Tasks:

· Manage customer credit files.

· Manage the collection of past due invoices.

· Monitor relations with collection agencies.

· Monitor the credit granting and updating process.

· Monitor periodic credit reviews.

· Monitor relations with the sales department.

· Monitor relations with the credit reporting agencies.

· Manage the application of late fees.

· Maintain the sales tax exemption documentation process.

· Maintain the corporate credit policy.

· Recommend changes in the credit policy to senior management.

Work Activities:

· Prepare invoices and process credit memos.

· Approve or deny credit applications.

· Issue return authorizations.

· Review orders submitted by sales and customer service.

· Approve and release orders to production.

· Prepare pro-forma Invoices for International customers.

· Prepare international shipments and export documents.

· Schedule international shipments with the chosen carrier

· Monitor international shipments for any delays.

· Prepare customer billing statements.

· Authorize credit charges.

· Verify bank or financial transactions.

· Use computers to enter, access or retrieve data.

· Use knowledge of written communication in sales work.

· Maintain records, reports, or files.

· Fill out business or government forms.

· Data mining D&B reports for analyzing customer credit.

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience: Minimum 2-3 years A/R experience within the manufacturing industry utilizing an ERP system. (Preferred)

B2B credit analysis experience a plus

Plex ERP system experience is a definite plus.

Education: Associates Degree or higher (Preferred)
