Overview

SOSi is seeking a Production Control Lead to oversee all production control functions on a U.S. Government program in Honduras.

Essential Job Duties

• Compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.

• Perform any combination of the following duties: compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques.

• Supervise a staff of 4 personnel.

• Calculates factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets.

• Write production reports based on data compiled, tabulated, and computed; following prescribed formats; maintaining files of documents used and prepared.

• Compile detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.

• Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities, compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies, and charts production using chart, graph, or pegboard based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel.

• Sort and distribute work orders and may compute data and post this data in US Government programs / software (GCSS-A, Maximo, Excel).

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Public Trust.

• An associate degree from an accredited university is preferred.

• Three (3) years of experience performing work of similar scope and size.

• Experience with Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) functions within the last three years.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and able to function in an office setting, answer the phone, use office equipment, etc.

• Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.

• Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking, reading, writing candidate highly desired.

• Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multinational workforce preferred.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standards.

• Willingness to live and work in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions.

• Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this environment.

• Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and 'duck & cover' during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
