Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is launching our Summer 2024 Internship program, designed to cultivate and nurture the leaders of tomorrow within our organization. Program Highlights:

The Rivers Casino Intern Program offers a unique opportunity for aspiring leaders to embark on a 10-12 week* journey of professional development and hands-on experience. The program is structured to attract and retain high-achieving graduating interns, offering the chance to transition into a full-time career at Rivers Casino, subject to departmental opportunities upon completion of the internship and/or graduation.

Key Features:

Structured On-the-Job Training: Engage in a closely-monitored on-the-job training experience with defined learning objectives and collaborative group projects.

Paid Position: Enjoy the benefits of a paid, temporary position, with flexibility up to 40 hours per week, allowing for immersive learning and skill development.

Program Duration and Schedule:

The program spans 10-12 weeks* and may be extended based on business demands. Summer Interns typically work full-time hours up to 40 hours per week, accommodating school schedules. Work schedules will be determined by the Department Lead, with flexibility to meet business needs.

Internship Requirements:

To be eligible for the Internship Program, candidates must:

• Have completed at least the sophomore year of an Associates, Bachelors, or Masters Degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Be currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in a related field at an accredited college or university.
• Demonstrate the ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
• Successfully fulfill the pre-employment background check.
• Be available to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including holidays.

Intern Project and Presentation:

Interns will engage in a meaningful project decided by department Vice President, working collaboratively in teams guided by their direct Manager. The final stage of the internship involves presenting their findings to the Senior Leadership team, providing valuable insights into the strategic goals of Rivers Casino and showcasing the knowledge and experience gained during the internship.

Certifications:

• Must be able to obtain a Non-Gaming License. Rivers Casino will assist in the application process and pays the fee associated with this license.

Physical Requirements:

Depending on the department, Interns may be required to perform the following:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Regular bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching
• Ability to push/pull objects weighing up to 30 pounds
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer
