Pediatric Therapy, Inc is Hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Near Lubbock, TX

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to patients with physical, developmental, or emotional challenges. Your role will be crucial in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist 
  • Provide therapeutic interventions and exercises to patients to improve their motor skills, coordination, and daily living activities.
  • Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for continued progress at home.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Requirements:
  • Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • In-depth knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
  • Familiarity with occupational health practices and protocols.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in acute care settings.
  • Knowledge of medical imaging techniques related to occupational therapy is a plus
