Job description
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, specifically those with autism. You will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior plans and interventions, helping individuals improve their daily living skills and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior plans designed by the BCBA.
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients.
- Teach and reinforce appropriate behaviors and social skills.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, mealtime routines, and household chores.
- Collect data on client progress and behavior using established methods.
- Collaborate with the BCBA to develop and modify care plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week
