Job description

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, specifically those with autism. You will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior plans and interventions, helping individuals improve their daily living skills and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities: 

  • Implement individualized behavior plans designed by the BCBA.
  • Provide direct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients.
  • Teach and reinforce appropriate behaviors and social skills.
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, mealtime routines, and household chores.
  • Collect data on client progress and behavior using established methods.
  • Collaborate with the BCBA to develop and modify care plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices
