Position Summary
The Sr Quality Manager position provides the leadership necessary to establish and maintain quality levels of products through sanitation, ingredient, packaging and quality systems management. This role is the guardian of quality compliance and challenger of all functions across the value chain to drive Continuous Improvements, support to Operations, Supply Chain, and Consumer Services, while fostering a cross functional quality, compliance and performance culture. This role is responsible for the leadership, development, implementation and management of all QA programs and activities. They provide technical expertise and support to ensure compliance to QMS/FSSC 22000, regulatory requirements, product quality, and food safety; utilizes tools such as auditing, process evaluation, trend analysis to achieve continuous improvement and business objectives.
Responsibilities
People and know-how : Develop and maintain competencies, quality awareness, and commitment to zero defects in the factory through development/integration of training material, teaching, coaching, and assessing.
Quality Systems: Setup, manage, enforce, and maintain the Nestle Quality Management System as well as establishing the Operating Quality Manual.
Laboratory methods and practices: Ensure the correct functioning of the factory laboratory, including personnel safety, availability of equipment, ensure appropriate methods and/or method verification, and training of technicians.
Hygiene: Ensure adherence to good hygienic practices in the factory. Ensure the correct implementation and supervision of the factory pest management program.
Quality auditing and verification: Manage the internal auditing program, assess the performance of the quality system, report its effectiveness to management, and propose actions for improvement.
Continuous improvement and root cause analysis: Ensure the monitoring of key quality parameters by means of statistical process control in order to drive structured root cause analysis and continuous improvement in the quest for zero defect. Lead the factory management review of quality (MRQ).
FINANCIAL/STRATEGIC IMPACT: Manage Quality Assurance Department Budgets, Drive all Food Safety and product quality related issues within the factories, Support End to End Food Safety and product quality related activities (Procurement & Supply Chain), Support I&R Food Safety and product quality related activities (Application Group)
