Overview: As the Program Coordinator for the Greater Springfield Women’s Economic Security Hub, you will oversee and manage community engagement and capacity-building initiatives designed to enhance the economic security and empowerment of women and gender-expansive individuals in the Greater Springfield area. This role requires effective coordination of workshops, training sessions, and community outreach programs, maintaining compliance with grant requirements and organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
● Program Management:
○ Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of community workshops, seminars, and training sessions.
○ Coordinate with local experts and stakeholders to facilitate program activities.
○ Manage the development and distribution of digital and printed educational materials.
● Team Collaboration and Support:
○ Work collaboratively with members of the North End Community Connects (NECC) team, including access to a Data Analyst, a Volunteer Coordinator, a Coalition Coordinator, and other community engagement experts.
○ Leverage team support to enhance program delivery and effectiveness.
● Stakeholder Engagement:
○ Organize and conduct policy action roundtables and community surveys.
○ Build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and volunteers.
● Reporting and Compliance:
○ Prepare quarterly progress reports and an annual summary to review with the Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts and internal stakeholders.
○ Ensure all program activities align with the stipulations of the grant and organizational objectives.
● Training and Development:
○ Facilitate and or coordinate sensitivity and inclusivity training for staff and volunteers.
○ Support the development of a mentorship program.
Qualifications:
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Work, Women’s Studies, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Experience:
● Proven experience in program coordination, community outreach, or similar roles.
● Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and navigate complex project demands effectively.
● Previous involvement in women's economic security initiatives or similar community-focused projects is highly desirable.
Skills:
● Strong organizational and project management skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse groups.
● Proficient in using digital tools for communication, content creation, and program management.
