Our patient population is spread out with 26.4% under the age of 18, 44.3% from 18 to 64, and 20.6% who were 65 years of age or older. While working at VPC you will have the ability to develop your own practice style and a personal rapport with your patients. The NP must be committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for building our new patient base. We’re looking for a professional who is passionate about patient care. They will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient care, often times advising patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or providing case management. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and update patient records through our EHR system (TBD) including patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Orders and/or interprets the results of diagnostic tests.
• Provide advice on healthy habits and practices for patients based on their current health status
• EKG rhythm identification and interpretation.
• Prescribe and refill medications as needed
• Assist practice physician when needed
• Maintain patient confidentiality in all circumstances.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ideal candidate would have experience in adult internal medicine
• Must have the ability to multitask
• Computer knowledge is a must
• Experience with EMR system is ideal
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary starts at minimum of $90,000 and DOE
