Muñoz Engineering and Land Surveying, DPC is currently seeking Construction Inspectors Levels 2 and 3 to fill positions for a NYSDOT roadway milling and paving project within Region 8.

We are a multi-discipline engineering, design, land surveying and construction inspection firm with four decades of experience serving New York and New Jersey. Muñoz Engineering is certified with all local public agencies and is licensed to practice engineering and land surveying services. We have extensive experience working with clients in the public and private sector on all types of projects providing Engineering design, Surveying, and Resident Engineering and Inspection Services.

Below are the requirements for this position:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• NICET- II/III or Equivalent ASCE Engineering Degree Grades
• Experience in roadway reconstruction is necessary
• Must possess current certification from the American Concrete Institute (ACI) as a Concrete Field Technician – Grade I
• Knowledge of Work Zone Traffic Control with preferred ATSSA, NSC or equivalent certification
• Minimum OSHA 10 certification is a requirement
• Work may include off hours and overnights/weekends if/when required
• Knowledge in the reading and interpretation of plans and specifications
• Ability to maintain field records, daily reports and perform quantity computations following the MURK
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Physical ability and coordination to safely maneuver around construction sites
• Ability to maintain personal working relationships with all personnel involved with the project and collaborate with multiple team members
