Internship Program | NCTA-The Internet & Television Association

The NCTA Summer Internship Program is a 12-week opportunity that provides exposure into advocacy on behalf of the internet and television industry. Throughout the program, you will gain new skills, expand your professional network, and develop a deeper understanding of how we serve our members. This role is designed to challenge you and be influential to a future career. Opportunities are available in several departments of the organization that serve varying functions.

Program Features

• Assigned peer mentor to help introduce you to NCTA’s culture and values.
• Participate in professional development, events/seminars and networking events.
• Collaborate with seasoned professionals.
• Lunch with the CEO.
• Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions.

Compensation 

• Pay: Undergraduate - $18.00 per hour Graduate-$25.00 per hour
• Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.

What You Bring To NCTA

• 1 years of undergraduate completed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Able to commit at minimum of 3 working days per week.

Opportunity

Creative Services:

NCTA’s Creative Services team creates compelling content and immersive experiences that bring our industry stories to life – both internally, and at outside events. Intern responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Assists with and learns the art of creative production. 
• Performs various logistical and technical functions, gaining exposure to all aspects of event planning, development and delivery.
• Helps the team conceive, plans and executes a variety of onsite and local events.
• Collaborates with the planning team on developing creative concepts and industry messaging around policy initiatives. 
• Works with the creative team on video production and graphic design.
• Works with the production team on requirements development, production planning delivery and capture.
• Shadows the AV team and assists in equipment upgrades, testing and maintenance. 
• Ongoing research and information management projects, including cataloging and organizing media assets and updating department databases.
