Internship Program | NCTA-The Internet & Television Association

The NCTA Summer Internship Program is a 12-week opportunity that provides exposure into advocacy on behalf of the internet and television industry. Throughout the program, you will gain new skills, expand your professional network, and develop a deeper understanding of how we serve our members. This role is designed to challenge you and be influential to a future career. Opportunities are available in several departments of the organization that serve varying functions.

Program Features

• Assigned peer mentor to help introduce you to NCTA’s culture and values.
• Participate in professional development, events/seminars and networking events.
• Collaborate with seasoned professionals.
• Lunch with the CEO.
• Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions.

Compensation 

• Pay: Undergraduate - $18.00 per hour Graduate-$25.00 per hour
• Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.

Timeline of Program 

What You Bring To NCTA

• 1 years of undergraduate completed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Able to commit at minimum of 3 working days per week.

Opportunity

Technology:

NCTA’s Technology team provides technical expertise and analysis to NCTA members and staff on various broadband and telecommunications subjects. Intern responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Conducts research on “Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Communications Sector” and presents research findings at the end of the summer.
• Participates in and documents technical briefing calls with NCTA members. 
• Reviews and updates existing training material. 
• Attends FCC open meetings and brief the department on various topics (e.g. spectrum, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, password, and credential sharing etc).
• Prepares a plan to update the ‘Technology Lab’ with new and innovative products and ideas. 
• Assists with event planning and in-person Working Group meetings.
