McElroy Manufacturing is a mid-size family-owned company looking for a Field Support Specialist to perform a variety of tasks in relation to the support for both HDPE & PP fusion tools to McElroy Channel Partners, Industry Partners, and End-Users. Product support includes, but is not limited to: operation of equipment, troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and software applications; providing coaching for equipment maintenance over the phone, online, in person, and on the jobsite.
Responsibilities:

• Support of new tool launches.
• Spend time coaching contractors & distributor personnel in proper operation, set up, maintenance, and repair of specific McElroy tools on the jobsite, in the classroom, and at trade shows.
• Contribute to the development of training videos as requested.
• Actively participate in new product development process with engineering, sales, tech services, and operations as requested.

Requirements:

• 2 year college degree or equivalent technical/vocational college education preferred.
• Experience required in troubleshooting of hydraulic systems with a good working knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting experience.
• At least 1 year of public speaking experience and skills with the ability to schedule, organize, and conduct technical training classes of 10 or more people.
• Intermediate skill level of Microsoft Suite products.
• Able to secure personal credit card for use in business travel with a credit limit of $3,000.
• Valid Driver’s License and minimum liability insurance on personal vehicle.
• Physical Job Requirements:
• Travel (40-50%) required normally by commercial airlines.
• Ability to lift equipment usually ranging in weight from 40-60 pounds.
• Loading and unloading equipment, while unassisted, is required.
• Mobility is frequently required between multi building complexes covering several acres.
